The Creed

The Bible is the living word of God which was written by human authors under revelation from the Holy Spirit. It is without error and it is a living word for our lives today.

  • There is only one true God who is eternal and the creator of all things. He has existed as three persons in one. The Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, each fully God and each possessing equal power and authority.
    Deuteronomy 4:1-2; Psalms 119:11, 89, 105; Isaiah 40:8; Matthew 22:29; John 5:39; 16:13-15; 17:17; Romans 15:4; 2 Timothy 3:15-17; Hebrews 1:1-2; 4:12; 1 Peter 1:25; 2 Peter 3:16

  • The Lord Jesus Christ, the one and only Son of God, was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He was fully God, but at the same time was fully human. He was crucified for our sins, was buried, resurrected, and he ascended into heaven. He is alive today in the presence of God the Father. He has satisfied God's demand for righteousness, and through Him we have access into the Kingdom of Heaven.
    Deuteronomy 6:4; Isaiah 61:1; Matthew 28:19; Mark 1:9-11; Luke 1:35; John 5:21-23; 14:10, 16; Romans 8:9-11; 1 Corinthians 8:6; 2 Corinthians 13:14; Hebrews 1:8-10; James 2:19

  • The victorious redemptive work of Christ on the cross provides freedom from the power of the enemy – sin, lies, sickness, poverty, and torment. This is a gift that is freely given so that we can become a new creation and fulfill the work of Jesus.
    Isaiah 7:14; 53; Matthew 1:18-23; 3:17; 8:29; 14:33; 16:16; 28:5-6; Luke 22:70; 24:46-47; John 1:1, 14; 10:30; 11:25-27; 17:1-5; Acts 1:9; 2:22-24; 7:55-56; Romans 1:3-4; 3:23-26; 8:1-3; 10:4; 1 Corinthians 8:6; 2 Corinthians 5:19-21; Gal 4:4-5; Philippians 2:5-11; Colossians 1:15; 2:9; 1 Timothy 2:5-6; 3:16

  • Man is made in the image of God and is the supreme object of His creation. He was created to have fellowship with God, but became separated in that relationship through sinful disobedience. Only through the grace of God, and the acceptance of His Son Jesus, can man have a right relationship with God - not attainable through his own self effort. Every human personality is uniquely created, possesses dignity, and is worthy of respect and Christian love.

  • The body of Christ, through the teachings of Christ and through obeying all of His commands, is to meet as as a group of believers through love and acceptance, so that we can build up His body for the purpose of glorifying Christ.

  • Every person is designed and created uniquely, possess dignity and is loved by God, so God provided a way to be restored by His grace, through faith in His Son Jesus Christ. Now anyone can be restored to fellowship with God through repenting, believing and receiving Jesus as their Savior and Lord. The Holy Spirit convicts, regenerates, justifies, and adopts us as we enter the Kingdom of God as His sons and daughters.
